WHAT IS BEST TOYS?
Best Toys is a sales organization representing high quality, specialty
merchandise in the states of Illinois and Indiana. Best Toys
provides full
service to a wide variety of retailers including toy, gift, museum,
educational, children's, book and hospital shops, as well as customers
involved in catalog operations. Best Toys services various types of
customers ranging from independent, single store operations to multi-store
and chain organizations. HISTORY OF BEST TOYS Carle R. Wunderlich II started Best Toys in 1989. At that time Best Toys was a one-man show; Carle represented 20 lines and covered the states of Illinois and Indiana. He quickly became aware that he was in need of an office assistant to help provide the service he wanted extended to his customers and manufacturers. As Best Toys grew, acquiring more great lines and a larger customer base it became apparent that another sales rep was needed. Shauna Davidson joined the Best Toys team in 1991. Carle and Shauna built a reputation of having high quality lines and providing exceptional customer service. As Best Toys continued to grow additional office support was added as needed thus allowing Carle and Shauna to stay on the road. With the continual growth of Best Toys it became apparent that in order to maintain the quality of service that Carle insisted on; another rep was needed. Debbie Coffing joined Best Toys team as the Indiana sales rep in 1995. Shortly after, an Indiana office assistant was hired to help meet the needs of our Indiana customers. The latest Best Toys expansion included additional office personnel in 2001, Christy Swanson joining as an Illinois rep in 2002 and the move to a larger location in 2004. Today Best Toys consists of four sales reps and five office assistants, represents 30 lines and covers two states, Illinois and Indiana. Dedicated to service for both the customer and manufacturer, Best Toys strives to keep abreast of all manufacturers’ products and terms. All sales reps carry cell phones and return calls in a timely manner. The office staff is available to answer everyday questions, place orders and assist with any problems; this allows the sales reps to do what they do best: be on the road seeing customers. Best Toys maintains a website and publishes monthly newsletters in an effort to keep customers inform. One thing that has not changed through the year is the Best Toys motto: Service is Our Priority. We strive daily to reach that goal for both our customers and manufacturers. |
